Ringworm In African Americans

Akumal, the pearl of the Caribbean

They say that the turtles return to the land of their birth to spawn, or mate, but surprising is that two of these long-lived animal species chosen as a permanent home Akumal beach, perhaps by water temperature, or perhaps for being a great place to feed on marine plants. What I am certain is that they were not wrong in choosing this part of the Mexican Caribbean, as it boasts an extraordinary beauty.

Akumal, the secret of the Riviera Maya, retains its charm and natural beauty despite blunted before the current developments in Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum, safe from the start because its inhabitants did not intend a major development. Over the years, Akumal has been characterized as a clean and concerned about the environment, then so is perfect.

The history of this paradise started only in the fifties when a Mayan family name "Tun" lived in a hut beachfront Akumal, then it was an area covered with coconut palms and only way to get there was by Valladolid and mounted on a mule.

The turquoise waters of Akumal jealously guarded a vessel that sank hundreds of years, "Matanzas" or "Our Lady of Miracles." This galleon forgotten, aroused the interest of some American divers looking for treasure on the ship, but one day in 1958 arrived in the area Paul Bush, who admired the beauty of the beaches and the tranquility of the Mexican Caribbean, decided to buy land and settle there, avoiding at all costs that the treasures of the sunken ship were to give other countries.
Over the years, as locals and foreigners took home this paradise with palm huts and new materials. Bush, along with a group of friends looked for ways to make known the place, built a yacht club that never worked as such. Other buildings were added to the project today is a small village of shops and services to visitors, while the yacht club became the Akumal Ecological Center, a place designed for the care of the environment through various activities to protect nature and conserve water and various marine species and plants.

Today Akumal has about 8 hotels for all budgets, is a town with craft shops, spas, clinics, jewelry, dive shop, gift shop, supermarket, massage, galleries, restaurants, bars and cafes, all within a friendly and responsible with the environment.

looks like a fisher Riviera, with its boats and clear waters, white sandy beaches, like refined sugar.
Its bay simulates a shallow pool that has no end and is ideal for carrying children. In addition, as found near the reef, one of the favorite activities is to live with the turtle in its natural habitat. In the Mayan language, Akumal means "place of turtles." The biologists, say that 7 of the 8 species of sea turtles in the world reach the Mexican coast. Species green and loggerhead "Akumal chose as a site for breeding, spawning, birth and permanent home. So, if you visit the site, find out about the different activities in which you participate and assist in the care of these turtles.
On the other hand, what I love about Akumal is a beautiful creek or pond of clear water called "Yalku" where water is born amid rocks and sea grass, there can dive or snorkel with hundreds of colorful fish and see capricious forms they take as their home corals of all sorts, as fans, brain, among others. In addition to seeing species of crustaceans, shells and anemones, more than 600 species of marine life in this place. That's the advantage of having the Mexican coral reef system is part of the Caribbean, the second largest in the world.
And entered the environmental issue, it is important to mention that the Akumal Ecological Center has several programs friendly to the environment: Marine Protection Program of the reef which includes all living species, a Water Quality Program of the Bays and Wetlands Area, which is promoted good care and management of water in the area, also a Sustainable Development Program Low Impact and Program Environmental Education and Communication addressed to the community and visitors, for more information visit http://www.ceakumal. org /
Now you're ready to enjoy the sunsets red and purple skies, clear waters, palm trees dancing in the wind, excellent accommodation options, sea food, and water sports all, enjoy this paradise that is saved as treasure, as it is, the pearl of the Caribbean.

Until next time!
